Yummy & Tasty Beetroot curry


Hi friends .Good morning. After a long gap today I am back to share with you a juicy curry recipe. But before sharing my simple recipe I want to ask all of you a simple question,

 ”Are you a picky eater?”.

Well you all might be wondering what the term picky eater means--its nothing but a person who chooses to eat only certain type of food.

Well to say honestly I myself a picky eater  and do not like to eat bitter gourd from childhood ☺, but trying to eat now. So without knowing there is a picky eater in every one of us who do not like to eat some specific vegetables or fruits. I have seen personally that many of friends doesn't like to eat beetroot/cabbage/cauliflower because of their color or taste or smell.

But every vegetable has some important nutritional contents which we require in our daily diet.

Now a day’s most of the women are suffering from anemia problem, i.e. low hemoglobin level.

Due to this we feel tiredness,loss of hair,body pains,back pain etc. So to overcome this problem we need to eat a lot of green vegetables,beans and beet roots.Please incorporate beetroot in your diet,trust me you will feel the difference.

Today I am going to share a curry recipe in which beetroot is the main ingredient and below I am listing some benefits of eating beetroot's as a part of your diet:

1. It helps to reduce blood pressure
2. Rich in iron, so prevents from anemia
3. Rich antioxidant.
4. Good for liver.
5. Reduces bad cholesterol.

So friends ,we have learned the benefits of eating beetroot, now lets get in the procedure of making a juicy and tasty curry out of it.

Ingredients:

1.Beetroot - finely chopped.
2.Green chili - finely chopped.
3.Onions - medium chopped.
4.Tomato - finely chopped.(optional).
5.Ginger - finely chopped
6. Jeera - 1 teaspoon.
7. Chana Dal - 1 teaspoon.
8. Urad Dal - 1 teaspoon.
9.Mustard seeds - 1 teaspoon.
10. Dhaniya powder - 1 teaspoon.
11. Curry leaves - 5 (optional).
12.Oil - 3 tablespoons.
13. Salt - 1 1/2 tablespoon.
14.Garlic cloves - 2.
15. Groundnuts - handful (optional).
16.Turmeric powder - 1/2 spoon.




















Procedure:

1.Place a pan on the stove and add oil and let it heat for a minute.

2.Now add mustard seeds and let them splutter.Once spluttering is over then add Jeera,Urad dal,Channa dal and fry them for a minute.

3.Now add green chilies,ginger,onions,curry leaves,garlic cloves,groundnuts and fry them till golden brown.
                         


4.Now add tomatoes, dhaniya powder and  cook them for 2 minutes till they become soft.

5.Add finely chopped beetroot and mix all the ingredients well.Let beetroot fry for 2 minutes.

                             

6.Add salt,turmeric powder and once again mix all the ingredients well and cover the pan with a lid and let it cook for 5 minutes.

7. Add little bit of water and let the curry cook for 10 minutes.
                           

8.Once the curry is cooked well then its ready to serve to your family.

                                   

Thats it tasty and juicy beetroot curry is over.It takes very less oil and needs less time to cook.

This curry will goes well with chapathi or poori. So friends please don't be a picky eater and try to add all vegetables into your diet.
