Hi friends.Good afternoon.We all know that chutneys plays an important role in Indian cuisine. Especially South Indians eat different variety of chutneys as a side dish along with Idly,Dosa.
I'm an ardent lover of chutneys and experiment different variety of chutneys at home.
So today I am going to share with you one such chutney recipe which requires merely 5 ingredients and takes just 15 minutes to prepare this chutney.

OK let me give you all a clue..the main ingredient used in this chutney will start with "G" and ends with "T" .We will regularly use this ingredient in our daily cooking.
Still didn't guess..OK let me reveal the recipe name -- "Groundnut Chutney"
So why waiting, lets get into the procedure of making this yummy chutney.
Ingredients:
1.Groundnuts -- 1 cup.
2.Mustard seeds -- 1 tea spoon.
3.Green chilies -- 5 to 6.
4.Tamarind -- small lemon size.
5.Salt -- 1 tablespoon.
6.Oil -- 2 tablespoons.
7. Curry leaves -- 5 leaves.
Procedure:
1.Place a pan on the stove , add groundnuts and dry roast them till they turn little brown like below.
2.Once the groundnuts are roasted,then transfer them to a plate and let it cool for 5 minutes.
3.Peel the outer layer of groundnuts by crushing them.They will peel of easily.
4.Now in the same pan,add 2 tablespoons of oil and let it heat for a minute.
5.Once oil is heated,then add mustard seeds and let them splutter.Once spluttering is over then add green chili,curry leaves and fry them for 2 minutes.
6.Transfer the mustard seeds,green chili and curry leaves to a plate.
7.Take a mixer jar, add roasted groundnuts,green chillies,salt and tamarind.
8.Grind all the ingredients into a smooth paste.
9.Transfer the chutney to a bowl and add mustard seeds and curry leaves to it.
Thats it! Tasty and yummy Groundnut chutney is ready to eat.This goes well with Idly/Dosa/Upma/Uthappam.
